CONSTRUCTION WORKER (Carrying a shovel over his shoulder while walking, he suddenly stops and looks down): There's a bump in the road! (He takes the shovel down off of his shoulder and tries to fill the hole in. Others in the scene gather round to see what he is doing, commenting on the hole and how it got there. The sound of the worker trying to fill the hole in continues as they speak) PERSON 1: There's a bump in the road 'cause they paved the mule over! PERSON 2: There's a bump in the road 'cause they paved the mule over where it lay on the ground when they shot it down! PERSON 3: They had to shoot it 'cause it's leg got hurt pullin' wagon after wagon of red clay dirt! PERSON 4: It was pullin' that wagon for to build the road but that wagon was filled with a heavy load!
